Dear Lardies,
Thank you for inviting me to support your fundraising efforts on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Relief - a most worthwhile cause.
Cycling along the banks of the Nile is certainly a major challenge but I'm sure you will all have a lot of fun along the way.
I very much admire your commitment to helping others and I wish you all the best of luck.
With kind regards.
Yours Sincerely,
Mohamed Al Fayed

Dear Shaun,
Lardie Tours
I am writing to wish you and all the other active Lardies every success in
the Nile Cycle Challenge this coming October.
I know from experience over the years the invaluable help that Macmillan
Cancer Relief provides for families where someone is terminally ill with
cancer through the Macmillan Cancer Nurses.
To be willing to cycle 420 km through not the easiest of terrain is a
considerable commitment and I hope you and your fellow Lardies will raise a bumper sum.
Macmillan Cancer Relief is a project to which I hope everyone in Banbury
would feel able to donate something, not simply because it is a good cause, but who knows when any of us ourselves in the future may need the support of Macmillan Cancer Nurses.
Best wishes.

I think it's great what you guys are doing! What a tremendous way to remember a friend. I've got fond memories of Macmillan too, my grandfather was a beneficiary of their services. Good luck in raising the money and, to be honest, surviving! I'm not convinced I envy you, sounds like a lot of cycling in a warm climate - be careful, you might not be 'Lardie' Tours when you return!

All my best wishes to the Lardies peddling their way across Egypt... and watch out for all those other Egyptian pedlars! I know it is in a very good cause, but I hope you don't melt!
